NEW HORIZONS PC APPLICATIONS PROGRAM
The New Horizons PC Applications Program is designed to help develop skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as the internet. All of these areas have realistic value in the workplace because the student is trained using relevant software to execute real-world business projects such as word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and email. The skills gained in the program set an individual apart in today’s competitive job market bringing employment opportunities, greater earning potential and career advancement
MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST PROGRAM
The Microsoft Office Specialist program measures proficiency and identifies opportunities for skills enhancement. Successful candidates receive a MOS certificate that sets them apart from their peers in the competitive job market. This certificate is a valuable credential recognized worldwide as proof that an individual has the desktop computing skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint needed to work more productively and efficiently.
NEW HORIZONS ACCOUNTING PROGRAM
In this program emphasis is placed on helping the individual develop skills and knowledge in computer software and business concepts related to a business entry-level position in business administration and accounting. Students will gain experience and knowledge in computer software and business concepts. Students will understand and gain hands-on experience in mainstream computer software and business concepts.
A+ CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
A+ Certification is a program sponsored by CompTIA that certifies the knowledge and technical competency of entry-level computer service technicians. A+Certification is a non-vendor, non-computer specific certification program. It provides an industry-recognized credential that may open doors with prospective employers or leads to job advancement opportunities. The program is supported by major computer hardware and software vendors, distributors, resellers, and publications.
NEW HORIZONS NETWORK ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM
In this program will learn to install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Students will gain experience and knowledge in networking concepts and protocols. Students will understand and gain hands-on experience in network administration, supporting operating systems, installation of network software, and trouble shooting.
NEW HORIZONS A+ BUILD YOUR OWN COMPUTER
Our A+ Build Your Own Computer Program will provide in depth instructor-led training using Comptia approved courseware. Also in this program we are including an instructor supervised lab where students will gain hands on experience building a computer which they will keep. The computer that the student builds and keeps includes a CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse. As a result of this training, the student will have a broad base knowledge and competency in hardware and operating system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.
NEW HORIZONS PROGRAMMING AND DEVELOPER PROGRAM
In this program, emphasis is placed on helping the individual develop skills and knowledge in programming and development concepts. Students will gain experience and knowledge in programming and development concepts; they will understand and gain hands-on experience in mainstream programming and development concepts.
MEDICAL CODING AND BILLING SPECIALIST
The Medical Coding and Billing Specialist Program is designed to prepare students to fill positions for medical coding and billing professionals. In recent years, there has been a rapid increase in medical tests, treatments, and procedures that will be increasingly scrutinized by health insurance companies, regulators, courts, and consumers. Also, patient information must be entered into computer databases to comply with new Federal legislation requiring the use of electronic patient records. Finally, health care facilities are having difficulty attracting qualified workers, mostly because of the lack of both formal training programs and sufficient resources to provide on-the-job training for coders.
MICROSOFT CERTIFIED SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
With increased demand for a network administration job function, the MCSA certification validates the specific experience required by the network administrator job role. In terms of value, MCSA certified professionals show that they have the skills necessary to successfully implement, manage and troubleshoot the ongoing needs of Windows 2003 based platforms, including Windows .NET Server.
MICROSOFT CERTIFIED SYSTEMS ENGINEER
The MCSE certification qualifies you to plan, implement, maintain and support information systems in a wide range of computing environments with the Microsoft Windows 2003 integrated family of server products. Your training path may vary according to your experience objectives.
